Blessing the Lord with testimony: - In Acts 1v8 Jesus said,” But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. We give these testimonies to bless the Lord and Magnify His Name and hope that some weak brother or sister may be encouraged after reading them.

Israel Trip 2009

Leicester Assembly Testimony: After we held a national conference at Hayes Conference centre in December 2006 we had a meeting with Bro Gerald and resolved to start a church Fellowship in Leicester. We decided to invite Bro Alex assistant pastor in OBCA London to assist us in ministering and help on pastoral issues. We did write and formally ask the OBCA pastor Bro Archie and the church to allow Bro Alex to help us in the new assembly we were going to start in January 2007. The OBCA pastor and assembly agreed and we started holding services every Thursday evening. We asked our visiting minister Bro Daniel who was our guest preacher at Hayes Conference to preach at the (Charter) first meeting in Leicester. Bro Gerald and his wife sister Joyce and their three children were so anointed and used of the Lord in testifying that at the very first meeting there were several new families and every meeting there after there were always new people invited to the meeting. In no time there were over twenty families come to the Lord. The work started so well that a brother (Crosby) who was labouring in a nearby city (Coventry) felt led to close his assembly and come and join our new group. To put it in the words of Brother Alex he said "The Lord has gone before us". We thought the fellowship will grow up slowly but it seemed a message church for Leicester was over due. Almost every meeting the Holy spirit would come down so tremendously. I never forget the first baptism we held in a Baptist church in Leicester. Bro Alex preached in the morning in Leicester and at the baptism site bro Crosby gave a short exhortation and bro Alex conducted the baptism ceremony. As the saints were praying before the baptism in the church the Holy Ghost fell on the candidates and they started praising the Lord and crying. It was like the whole place was on fire. A repeat of the book of acts chapter 2. We literally had to baptise Holy Spirit drunk people. Drunk of the Holy Ghost. I saw some of the candidates praying as they were going into the pool, praying as they were coming out, praying as they were changing clothes. There was no dry eye on most of the elders present. I was just weeping tears of joy and crying like a baby. After changing clothes some ran to the congregation and embraced their husbands or wives and crying. There was one sister who came in her Sunday best and she came not prepared to be baptised but while in that atmosphere she immediately decided to get baptised and she went into the pool with her Sunday best clothes. There was such a sweet presence that it was difficult to part that day. One couple which got baptised that day when the got home after having their supper , they tried to have a family prayer before they went to bed but the moment they started praying they could not stop until the next morning. Another brother went home and he started praying and he could not stop praying. Concerned brethren had to call the local elder late at night that the brother is praying without ceasing. After one year and eight months in August 2008 it was felt that they elect a pastor from the believers assembled there. Bro Crosby became the sole candidate for pastor as brother Gerald and brother Alex held back. Bro Crosby was voted in as pastor. In October 2009 a year later brother Gerald and family felt lead to move out and start another fellowship in another part of Leicester. Using the same inspiration and enthusiasm as at the beginning the new fellowship is growing while the older one is moving forward as well. Back to top

Healed of eye problem: At the beginning of 2009 a sister coming to the assembly complaining of loosing her eye sight she came and believed in the Lord Jesus. She confessed her sins and got baptised In the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of her sins. Immediately after getting baptised she felt a big load lifted off her shoulders and her sight got restoredr. She is back at university studying. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. Hebrews 13:8. She went and testified to her close friend who also had a problem similar to her and that friend had the right mental attitude to God's word and what had happened to her friend. The same testimony repeated on her. She also got an answer to her request and the Lord healed her as well. TO GOD BE THE GLORY. Back to top

Young people receive the Holy Ghost: This year January 2010 we have had four people take the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in baptism. Four young people received the Holy Spirit baptism in the church. One was given a song by the Holy Ghost before receiving him. God is still calling people. Back to top

Stop go back and go the other way for there is danger ahead: some years ago I was going home from work a little late at night. I was walking from New lands shopping centre towards number 4 Maiden Drive in Highlands Harare where I lived , as I was half way something stopped me and I was told that there was danger ahead, go back and go home using another route. I felt checked and could not disobey that voice. It was strongly impressed upon my heart. So I turned back quickly and started running back. After running back about 50 metres I looked back and I saw five men coming out of their hiding place where they were way laying me. I immediately knew that that was God telling me to go back because those five men were robbers wanting to do me harm. That night I went home glorifying God for his tender mercies on me and warning me of danger. He is the same yesterday today and forever. He cares for you do you? (Bro. Branham said in the message Perseverant.” If something is impressed upon your heart, watch it that is God speaking to you”. Back to top

Call your brother’s pastor to come and preach to your household: In 1981, while I was staying at number 4 Maiden Drive, Highlands God spoke to me. I was working in the garden one Saturday afternoon and I worked until late, the sun had set and the moon was shinning bright. In that time of the cool of the evening, I began to feel real good. A voice spoke to my heart which said I must leave my house and go and live at a new house in Old Highfields and go and ask my brother Patrick’s Pastor (Maxwell) to come and preach to my household there. It shook me and the thought was strongly impressed upon my heart that it could not leave me. I shared it with my wife and it was the same voice that had warned me of danger some weeks before. What the voice said troubled me and it became a burden, each day the burden to obey what that voice said became strong and stronger. After about a week I told my wife that we must move to Old Highfields and ask Pastor Maxwell
To come to our house and preach to us, if we do not do it quickly one of us would die. So we quickly arranged and talked to a prosperous business man who had built a brand new four bed roomed house in the area where we were told to go and we went and lived at house number 7474 Old Highfields. Soon after moving I went and called my brother’s pastor to come to my new home and preach to us. I managed to invite all the neighbours for a prayer meeting and the minister came and preached and made an altar call for those who wanted to surrender their lives to God and take his name in baptism and that evening my wife and I were the only two people who gave their heart to the Lord. Baptism in Jesus Christ’s name was arranged and my wife and I were baptised by Bro Maxwell on 8th August, 1981. Just before being baptised each one of us had to stand up and confess all our sins before the whole congregation and make right everything. After confessing all known sins we were baptised in Mukuwisi River. Soon after baptism I became a new man, I felt light and started a new holy walk before the Lord to this day. Back to top

How l received the baptism of the Holy Spirit: Soon after my baptism on 8th August,1981 I started cleaning my house by removing all worldly things, music, clothes and anything which did not line up with God’s word. I binned it, obeying 2 Timothy 2v19 which says (...Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity). To keep my self spiritually clean and anointed I started a habit of, praying, reading my bible and listening to taped sermons preached by William Marrion Branham, every morning before I went to work and every evening before I went to sleep. One such evening I listened to the Sermon entitled “It becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.” (Taken from Matthew 3v15) As I listened to that tape my heart was touched, the Holy Spirit clothed me, and a righteous garment came upon me. I started worshiping God under the power of the Holy Spirit and I got lost in prayer which went on for more than an hour. That was one of the happiest moments in my life. From that day something supernatural came into my life, I became very sensitive to the Holy Spirit anointing and always longs for that anointing and Holy Spirit presence in my life.Back to top

I have found my missing rib, my eternal mate in glory: I met my wife for the first time while I was visiting my friend Livingstone in Southerton Harare. It was love at first sight. When I saw her something spoke to my heart and said this is the one you have been looking for. I immediately asked my friend all about her and I told her aunt that there is some connection somewhere between me and her, we must have seen each other somewhere or we were together somewhere where my memory could not recall. As we started going out together, I immediately told all my friends that I had found the girl I must marry. I introduced her to my mother who immediately confirmed my decision and said she will be a good wife to me and a real mother to our future children. We got married in 1980 and the lord blessed us with five lovely children three girls and two boys. This year we celebrated our 26th anniversary. Today I love her more than I did 26 years ago. I thank God for giving me a godly Christian wife, my eternal mate in Glory. Hallelujah praise God Back to top

Your church fellowship is dissolved go and join the nearest big message church near you: As a young Christian this was one of the first disappointments I ever had in my Christian walk. This message did not come from the devil or an unbeliever but from a senior deacon in the church. We were told on a Friday in November 1981 that our Southerton group was dissolved, our Pastor Maxwell had already gone and relocated to Bulawayo and our group was dissolved, all of us were now requested to go and join Bro Jeremiah’s assembly in Waterfalls. This really troubled me, how on earth can a church fellowship be dissolved. In the Bible churches were started and not dissolved. I almost wanted to follow my Pastor to Bulawayo but was not led that way; a few of the brothers actually followed the Pastor that includes our precious brother Gerald Lamont and Bro Masiye. We did share the same background with Brother Gerald. Some almost went back into the world and they were weakened as Christians. History keeps repeating itself but the lord undertook for us then and he still does it again today. Blessed be his holy name. Back to top

Leave Harare go to Mutare witness to your mother and relatives:After getting converted in 1981 I visited my mother at Christmas holiday in 1981 and when I visited her I realised that my mother, sisters and relatives were lost and needed the grace of God to be saved, so I started testifying to them and asking them to accept Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. After that visit when I was back in Harare a thought came to me and said "Leave Harare and go to live in Mutare and witness to your mother, sisters and relatives in New Reserve" I tried to ignore this thought but each day that passed it was strongly impressed upon my heart and it became a real burden. I tried to convince my wife that we move to Mutare but it was very difficult because all my wife's relatives and home area were around Harare. The burden to go to Mutare grew so big that I could not bear it any longer, until I told my wife that we must move to Mutare at once, if we do not go one of us is going to die. So on 26 May 1982 we moved to Mutare under a Devine call to witness the end time message to my people and relatives. Our first month in Mutare we stayed in Pastor Joseph's house. Soon after moving to Mutare my wife and I felt at peace, we felt that this was the right place for us to be, it was where God wanted us to serve Him at that time. It is a wonderful feeling to be at the right place at the right time. The church fellowship at that time was about four families, seven single brothers and four single sisters. We started witnessing and the church grew in strength and in numbers. After five years we built a beautiful Tabernacle at number 6 Starling Drive, in Greenside, Mutare which is still standing to God's glory today. Working as an Estate Agent at that time I had the privilege of looking around and identifying the right church stand for us. Being heavily involved in building homes at work at that time of building our church I had the privilege of procuring building materials, identifying and selecting the right builders and tradesman to assist us in building a house of prayer. Many people have been called to serve the Lord and worship God in that Tabernacle ever since. I have many testimonies of the Supernatural that happened during our 20 years of witnessing in Mutare.Back to top

Shall the son of man find faith when he comes again, preacher’s voice magnified: About two months after we moved to Mutare I called a friend to go visit my mother in New Reserve and preach to my relatives. It was a Saturday afternoon and we invited the neighbours for a prayer meeting. That evening the service was held in my mother’s pole and dagga round hut. The minister read from Matthew 8 and entitled his sermon “Shall the son of man find faith when he comes back on earth again” The service was much anointed and that evening my mother and sister and cousin gave their heart to the Lord. One of my cousins could not sleep that night she kept on singing the song “I can hear my Saviour calling; I will follow Him all the way”. The next morning we heard testimonies from neighbours living half a mile away that they could hear clearly the sermon that was preached last night while in their homes. That night the Lord provided a supernatural PA system by magnifying the voice of the preacher so that the whole village could hear the Word of God. This was a miracle and the beginning of the Lord’s doing in the area. Today the Lord raised an anointed Minister(Bro Edward) for the area and a fellowship started and today they have built their own church and there are now more than 60 believers in that assembly. God is calling people in the area. My mother and sisters are serving the Lord as believers today and many more are being called as I write.Back to top

Pick up that stone and throw it in jesus name and the pawpaw shall come down: In 1986, in my orchard at my house there was a big, ripe and appetising pawpaw fruit which was right at the top of the tree. I tried to pull it down using a long stick but I failed. So I gave it up and left it for the birds of the air to eat it, but in my heart I really liked to have it was so nice, desirable and appetising. The next morning before going to church something said to me go down to the pawpaw tree, So I went back to the pawpaw tree, when I got there a thought came to me which said “Pick up that stone and throw it in Jesus Christ’s name and the pawpaw will come down”. So without thinking about it I picked up a stone and threw it in Jesus name and the pawpaw was hit and it fell in an unnatural direction right in front of me instead of where the tree was leaning. I just raised my hands and worshiped the Lord. He gives us the desires of our heart. To me that was Devine intervention giving me the desires of my heart.Back to top

Sick relative healed and three more familes added to the faith: In 1986 I visited our relatives where there was a funeral and one of my nephews was very sick. The doctors could not diagnose what was wrong with him; they just said it was tension. I encouraged him to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for his healing. I offered to transport him and his wife to and from church every service day until the Lord touched him. We did it for a few weeks and the Lord’s hand was upon him and he was perfectly healed and that did it for him and his family. The testimony of his healing was so powerful that it converted him and his wife, his young brother and two sisters and their families to the lord. Today many other families have been called to serve the Lord through the testimonies of that brother. Many others who were watching said we can serve The Lord who heals the sick like that.Back to top

Called to go back to harare and move abroad: In 1995, I began to feel that the mission which the Lord had called me to Mutare was accomplished. I told the minister I worked with and said I wish to resign as a board member of the fellowship in Mutare as I was now feeling that I need to move back to Harare and thereafter go somewhere abroad for a number of years. In 1995 I started my way back to Harare by establishing a branch of my private business first in Rusape then another branch in Harare and started supporting a new fellowship which started in my friend Patrick Chivaura’s house. My friend Patrick Chivaura who was in Mutare also for the past 10 years felt like moving back to Harare. We had served on the same church board as Trustees for more than 10 years. At a farewell dinner in his house the brother prophesied and said “I go to Harare and prepare a place for you, your work here in Mutare is finished”. Soon after the brother moved to Harare, I followed him and slept in his house and immediately rented a shop near his home in Highlands and there I started a little work in June 1996. I eventually moved my whole family to Harare in 2000. Many other families started moving to Harare including the pastor in Mutare. When I got to Harare we supported the new fellowship in Highlands meeting in brother Chivaura’s living room. One day while in Harare I felt a burden to look for a public Hall where the saints could meet for meetings instead of meeting in the brother’s house. The lord led me to 256 Samora Machel Avenue in Eastlea and I negotiated with the Engineers association that we use their Hall for church services. An agreement was reached and I informed the minister in charge and we started using that facility until we outgrew the place. The next four years the fellowship grew in leaps and bounds. By that time I had moved my children to study abroad and I felt that it was time for me to go abroad and be with my children until they finish university. In year 2004 I moved to England to study for a Master of Science degree and be with my children as they study. Since coming to Sheffield we have started a Bible Believing fellowship meeting at Crookesmoor Community hall every Sunday morning, Tuesday evening and Saturday evenings. Just before I came to England the Lord showed me a scripture Genesis 46v3-4 where the Lord told Jacob and said.” I am God, the God of thy father, fear not to go down into Egypt for I will there make thee a great nation. I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again; and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes”. I shared this scripture with our minister and he said that was direct it did not need any interpretation; the Lord wanted us to establish a church fellowship here is Sheffield. My first service here in Sheffield on 29 August 2004 at the end of the service the minister called me to the altar and laid hands on me and anointed me as a church elder to lead the group of mostly students in Sheffield. On the day of anointing I really felt anointed and ever since that time I have been leading prayer meetings in Sheffield at Crookesmoor Community Hall.Back to top

Continue meeting here for my sake: In our first meeting on 9th January, 2005 regarding the continuation of Bible Believers fellowship group in Sheffield, it was only two families present. Soon after the meeting the lord sent a precious elderly sister who said “Please continue the fellowship here for my sake”. Her words were a direct confirmation of what we had resolved to do in the meeting. That godly sister and her two sons are strong Christians today serving the Lord in the Lord’s message with many testimonies and direct answers to prayer. Back to top

Go to crookesmoor hall and i will meet you there: About two months ago a very godly and spiritual sister in the fellowship was praying and fasting for her college fees which were in arrears. She purposed in her heart that the following Sunday she was going to attend church in a big message church one hour drive from Sheffield. Before Sunday something told her not to go where she had purposed to go but to go to crookesmoor instead and ask Bro John to pray for her. The same voice promised her that He would meet her there. That Saturday evening she was working but her two sisters went to Crookesmoor hall for a prayer meeting. The prayer meeting was much anointed, while the prayer meeting was going on one of the sisters was told by something to go to the front with her sister’s request and ask Brother John to pray for that request. She ignored that voice first time, it came again the second time and she ignored it but when it came the third time it was so powerful that it literally picked her up to move to the front. She came to the altar in tears and prayer was offered and immediately the burden over the issue was removed. The next Sunday the sisters came to church and the lord met with them. The following Monday the Lord provided the school fees a direct answer to their prayer. Today the sister completed her studies and graduated.God still speaks and answers prayers. Two weeks ago a brother and his family had decided to go to our sister church nearby which is a much bigger fellowship than our little group because there was a precious visiting minister preaching there. That Sunday morning as he prepared to go, the Lord spoke to him and told him not to go where he was intending to go but go to Crookesmoor Hall, because He was going to meet him there. The brother and his family came to church that Sunday with a testimony and actually led the song service and gave a Sunday school lesson and everyone was present was blessed. God cares for you even where you go for fellowship. Back to top

Israel Trip 2009 We have just come back from Israel where we had a wonderful and blessed trip of the Holy land. It was so sweet. We enjoyed planting trees fulfilling Isaiah 41:19 This time we planted a pine tree each being one of the seven trees that God said I shall plant in the desert and waste places in Israel raising the foundations of many generations. It was so nice seeing us fulfilling scripture in the positive knowing that some fulfil it in the negative.

I also enjoyed baptising three people in the Jordan River. We conducted a baptism service at the Yardenit in the Jordan River and I was privileged to preach on Matthew 3:1-17 Repentance, confession, baptism and remission on sins in Jesus Christ name. The three candidates took their time in the Jordan River confessing their sins. The service took longer than anticipated because the people took time to confess their sins. The ages of the candidates ranged from 39 to 60 years old. One of the brothers was 39 years old and it was his 39th birthday on the date of baptism. The first candidate who came was my 17th person I have baptised so far. I was so blessed afterwards when I reflected that before I was born when my parents got married in the church of England 60 years ago my father told my mother after reading Matthew 3:1-17 that if the Lord blessed him with a son he would call him John the Baptist. The first born was a girl called Susan, the next was another girl called Judith and I was number three and he named me John the Baptist. So after the baptism I thought that my father's dream or vision of 60 years was fulfilled. I relived again the story of John the Baptist baptising in the Jordan River in Israel. In a small way it was heralding again the second coming of Christ. We gentile Christians coming to Israel to baptise gentile believers. This should make the Jews jealous I thought.

When I came to the message of the hour and got baptised on 8th August 1981, soon after my baptism I took some audio tapes of the prophet Bro Branham from our church library in Harare and I listened to the prophet’s message “It becometh us to fulfil all righteousness tape no 61-1001m. I felt the prophet was speaking to me directly as he read from Matthew 3:1 up to v 17. He was talking about John the Baptist and my name is John named after the Baptist and saying we need to fulfil all righteousness. At the end of the tape I do not know what actually happened but Glory divine flooded my soul. I got lost in prayer and praising the Lord. I cried like a baby. Tears of joy flooded my face. I received the Holy Spirit right there in my bedroom after listening to the prophet’s message for about one and half hours. Ever since that time I always enjoy listening to bro Branham’s sermons on MP3 sets at least one a day. It is spiritual food in due season to me. I was not ashamed to carry the same message of brother Branham on MP3 and distribute to Jewish believers I met in Israel.

We had a blessed time at Engendi when we remembered the story of Saul and David. I gave an exhortation on Vengeance is mine saith the Lord. Brothers do not avenge yourself Romans 12:17-20 and gave the perfect example preached in real, life by David here. It was very nice. At the upper room after visiting King David’s tomb downstairs we had a nice heavenly touch while praying and praising the Lord. Each of us were blessed. I am not sure what happened to me I was praying very very fast. My tongue was unusually loosened and I was praising the Lord very very fast. I was so blessed. My tongue was quickened again by the quickening power that quickened the 120 believers in Acts 2 v1 some 2000 years ago. We visited the shepherd's fields in Bethlehem and learnt a very deep lesson of humility.

I can also recall my very first trip to Israel in 1995 our first night we were in the Ron Beach Hotel by the sea of Galilee. I was with my wife and over 30 believers from Germany from Pastor Gerd Rodewald’s group. Pastor Gerd was leading our group. In that first night I never slept. I was so overwhelmed to be in Israel. It was a life long dream comes true. My heart was flooded with joy divine. The power of God just flooded my soul. I tried to pray before going to bed and I could not stop praying. The anointing of the Holy Spirit was all over me. I ended up going in the bathroom and continued praying there while my wife enjoyed her sleep. At about midnight I went to the hotel shop and bought about 50 postcards, while still under the power of the Holy Ghost I wrote them all and posted them to each of my friends, relatives and brethren at home. I quoted scriptures in each one and prayed over those cards and posted them that night.. By the time I finished the sun had risen. So that whole night I did not sleep. One of the people who received one of the post cards was my father in law. He later testified to me that when He received the post card the Lord spoke to him directly. He never left that card but it was always in his jacket pocket until the day he died.

On our way back our plane was delayed for two hours and we got to Heathrow two hours late. We landed at 11.10 and our bus was to leave the airport at 11.30 Only 20 minutes to get out of the plane, collect luggage, go through customs and get out of the airport and get to the bus station. It was almost impossible. So I told a brother that we were travelling with, brother Alec that I was going to miss our plane and the brother said we have authority to pray and hold the bus until you come out. So we prayed a kind of selfish prayer for the bus to wait for us. We managed to get out quickly but by the time we were out it was already 11.40 ten minutes late. Normally our public transport system in England is very efficient, they move on time. As we expected our bus was waiting for us. The driver was seated on his seat with the bus running, doors closed. We knocked on the door and he opened and he said you people are very lucky because I should have gone a long time ago. I said to him our God used you to answer our prayers. We were late and we prayed that you wait for us until we came out. So the driver just smiled and we got home in time. God answers prayers

We are going for our 10th trip this year in October.
